Unravel the chequered history of ownership of this 500-year-old building, from William Clifton in the 1550s, to tenant farmers in 1907. Explore the terraces and walled garden, orchards and parkland and delightful flower gardens, designed in consultation with Gertrude Jekyll. Finish your visit with a meal in the restaurant, which uses fruit and vegetables grown in the kitchen garden.
